Congratulations to those who tested for rank
It was a very interesting ceremony, especially when we got to see different interpretations of the Uechi katas. I could see that everyone, especially Bob, was quite moved during the presentation of the certificates. It was truly an unforgetable experience.

I train at a sports club in Newton, and upon further inquiries about the dojo in Boston, it seems that several people had already attempted to locate it without much success. But they did mention that the classes were taught by some fellows called Gary, Darren, David, Cookie, and Barry ...

I had recently heard some people talking after a workout, referring to a Chinatown Dojo in downtown Boston, where Uechi Ryu is taught. The problem was that no one seems to know where its location is, or who its members are. I was hoping that you could give me some info on its whereabouts ...

I've been learning Uechi for almost ten years and I agree that it is a very practical style for myself. I had learned Shotokan prior to that and found that Uechi is a more "flowing" style that taught me to side-step attacks as opposed to Shotokan's "meet the attack head-on" approach. And I find that ...
