Double edged for sure Bill. After that gal ran into my car while trying to dial her cell phone we were able to call the police with it. Don't know what we would have done without it. But they are great tools when used correctly and have saved quite a few lives.

Keep Moving

Post by Thumper »

When my daughter was learning to drive, I told her to there were two rules. The first had to do with threatening crowds. That rules was to keep the car moving to force people out of the way and accelerate away from danger. DON'T STOP!

The second rule was not to stop for anything in an isolated area. She was told to keep driving at a reasonable speed untill she could pull into a gas station or strip mall.

She actually used rule two on a dark lonely stretch of road when a police officer turned on his light and began following her. My daughter drove at a slow speed for about two miles before pulling into a 7-11. The cop was mad at first, but calmed down when she told him about the rules I had given her. He was so impressed that she didn't get a ticket.

But I had told her it's better to get a ticket or go to court than end up dead.

I agree and think those are very good guidelines also.it is much better to get a ticket then to end up missing or dead because of some sick person posing as a police officer or something. If I had a daughter I would tell her the very same..
