just wanted to add this...

One strike, one kill, happened in my hometown. The bouncer is serving time, the patron is dead. All the "internet experts" in the world cannot undo this situation, despite their denial that this can happen.

You, as a martial artist (as was the bouncer) should be aware of the VERY REAL possibility that YOU could kill some one with a single punch.

It is immaterial whether the fist or the pavement caused the death...the puncher caused the death.
It's like saying to the wife of a dead skydiver "the fall didn't kill him, the ground did!"

We should not be walking around in awe of our fists' "deadly powers" and kidding ourselves that we are latent killing machines waiting to be unleashed, but we should also be cognisant of the FACT...FACT...FACT that the one-punch kill is a REALITY... not a fantasy.

I cant recall which book but Finakoshi recommended the strategy for womens self defence If I recall correctly

Karate-do Kihon, he then recommends getting the hell out of dodge and to someplace safe.
