Hi Bruce!

Sorry about not staying in touch. I thought I had e-mailed, but I do still encounter old friends who ask, "You moved?" My apologies.

It has been interesting to go through the kata without being able to say to myself, "Well, don't worry about this or that, just ask Bruce on Tuesday night." I keep asking myself why I stand a certain way, or why a little adjustment here or there makes a noticeable difference in my movement. Of course, sanchin keeps revealing little lessons of its own. I also downloaded the MPEGs of Uechi Kanei performing the three original kata that someone posted on another thread, and that's been intriguing.

I do have a QuickCam lying around somewhere in my sizeable pile of computer junk, so I may dust that off and make some MPEGs as you suggested. I also have a web host that might be useful as a "virtual dojo." Image
