The baseball leagues leave a lot of opportunity and profit potential on the table.
They could have a run off 7 series game at a different time to the World Series.

Imagine a series between the Cubs and Redsox this weekend.......
As Beavis and Butthead used to say "That would rule."

After all, who wants to watch the Yankees, I get nauseous every time I see Jeter.

Another great SNL skit on the Yankees last night. This time it was Horatio Sanz playing Don Zimmer as a temperamental talk show host that repeatedly lost his temper, attacked his guests, and was thrown to the floor with a quick grab of his "prodigeous" head.

You're right, Scottie, it never gets too old.

And it sells, too!

ALCS draws best ratings in years

Interesting, though, to hear (LA) audience reactions to Jay Leno jokes about the series. Lots of cheers for every team mentioned but the Yankees. Hmmm.... ;) Just goes to prove the philosophical discussions about their being no beauty or good without ugly or evil. Yea, the Yankees make us all look good! That's the ticket!

Go Marlins!

Doesn't have the same emotional content, but it'll do for now. :)

or Little League baseball/softball game.

$5-$10 ticket price, great seats, $1.00 hotdogs and exciting action.

I went to see Brockton play Marshfield Friday night. Great football game with some very talented kids playing. Eddie Leonard's grandson was playing quarterback and did a fine job. Brockton lost, but I still enjoyed the game.

People ask me why I don't get excited about our "home town" Red Sox . . . Well, I guess I can't really consider any of them neighbors or even New Englanders. Hell, I wonder how many of them even speak English. Take away their million dollar paydays and how many of them would show up at the ballfield on game day.

Go Brockton "Boxers"!
