Hey, stop by the east coast while you're at it.

There's the alternate to

* the groin/circle techniques (two variations)

* the front elbow lunge

* the circle/hammerfist, circle/boshiken

* the circle, front kick, knee strike, shoken (confession - I stole it from Gushi)

* the sanchin thrusts

* the seisan jump sequence

Heck, that's most of Seisan bunkai, no? Problem is, we still have to do the vanilla variety to make nice on the BB tests...

Clapping and bowing to pictures? When you enter and leave the dojo you bow to the pictures as a sign of respect. The clapping and bowing at the beginning and end of class, in Okinawa anyhow, is to a small religous piece, butsudan, placed in a sacred place in the dojo. This is totally a religious action. Praying to the ancestors of the dojo exactly as the okinawans do during the "obon" season to the butsudan in the house of the eldest son. Not doing this in an Okinawan dojo would be considered the ultimate in disrespect no matter what the reason.

"waves a pleasent hello" ***

The issue has apparently resolved itself :) I'm quite ecstatic to say...

I think I get a bit hyper about things at times, but the buddies here usualy find ways to point out that I'm either being hyper and to calm down or go ahead and be hyper about it - either way- they always help- :)

Interesting what kinds of things might upset or bother people isn't it?

Guess it all begins and ends with respect- and sometimes it's simply a matter of opening the mind further to see where the respect is given and in what manner.

Respect is always given somewhere in some degree eh? :)

Thanks again for all the insight and experiences-

Kerry
