Another cool thread ...
I personally don't see any DIRECT benefits of meditation on one's martial arts practice. But visualization can be helpfull for any type of discipline. A quick bit of advice; if you want to be good at fighting, practice fighting ... if you want to be good at meditating, practice meditation.
Also, if you want to do something that is beneficial to your health and mental clarity, take a look at some good sitting and/or standing ch'i gung practices. Some of these are very simple and can be quite calming and clearing.
