Well.... Not letting one stone go unturned I hitched a commuter flight down the coast on a hot tip one cold rainy day last week to present my smiling portfolio on an interview for some possible work in a geographical region where the weather is a little warmer. Could get a call if they get the funding in July; here's hoping it was fruitful to not let that one particular turn go unstoned.Hi Allen, nice to hear from you ......hope your job search is going well ( ever thought of going south, the climate might help your arthritis).
Maybe I should just quit software writing and start a professional dojo. I hear the guys who do make lots of money at it. Now THAT'S an idea.
Disaster Preparedness
I do have a few more goodies in my stash in the event of a disaster, but there are so many things that could happen in so different many ways that no matter what one planned for it would most likely be something else.
I think the two absolute best "things" to have in any emergency is a strong mind, accompanied by a strong will to survive. Though they are intangible, I consider everything else secondary.
Oh yeayah, I almost forgot. It's important to keep your wits about you as well during said emergencies.
