Dear Sensei Mattson, after my last email I downloaded the file SCDAS.mpg and viewed it with Net_toob player and it crshed, Vmpeg also crashed, as did windows 3.11 media player, while Hympeg managed to play it. With other files I have found that my default setup of Netscape, which loads Net_toob in order to view downloading files, crashes whenever a file finishes loading. This implies that the above problem affects more than one file. I can get round this by making sure that netscape only saves files and doesn't try to load them into client software. Incidentally, if I try to use Hympeg after either of the other mpeg players has crashed the whole system closes down and returns to the C:\> prompt. I think that other files I tried the other day cause other problems, some work with vmpeg and others
don't, some work with media player and others don't.
