Cable! People were rushing to the Wiz to get cable modems and dumping Verizon's DSL. Believe it or not, Cablevision was rated like one of the best cable services (online that is, not TV) in the country. I did a test at microsofts bandwidth test - 675kps. (http://www.computingcentral.com/topics/bandwidth/speedtest50.asp) I dl'd an update to IE. It was dl'ng around 470. Yesterday was 3.2kps. I am in cyber heaven right now.

Off to cruise the net for a spell.

Get DUMeter to monitor your download speeds. They have a 30 day trial version ready for download.

My DSL speed varies quite a bit. Right now it's 417.2 kbps, which is fine. However, for some reason or other, at times its slower than my old modem!
