Would you be impressed?

Post by Dana Sheets »

EDMOND, Oklahoma (Reuters) -- An Oklahoma man desperate to save his marriage by appearing like a hero to his wife ended up in police custody on suspicion of staging a crime. He hired "burglars" and foiled their fake robbery attempt, police said on Friday.

Trent Spencer, 27, of Edmond, north of Oklahoma City, was charged this week with the misdemeanor crime of filing a false report, said police spokeswoman Glynda Chu.

According to police, Spencer, a high school teacher, paid two students $100 each to break into his house and try to make off with a stereo.

The masked students tied his wife with duct tape and her husband was in the house just in time to foil the supposed crime, police said.

Police said Spencer attacked the two in a choreographed fight, even hitting one with a board that he had cut to break in half. The plan was going well until his wife freed herself and called police, something Spencer did not anticipate, police said.

What makes me feel all warm and fuzzy is that he's a highschool teacher :?

In order for him to feel comfortable enough to ask them to do an illegal act, I have to wonder what ELSE he's done with them.

And he's probably still wondering:

1. Why his marriage was in trouble
2. Why (I'm guessing this part but I figure it's a safe bet) his chances of keeping his wife have plummeted to zero
3. Why he was arrested
4. Why everyone is making such a big fuss

What an idiot. What a waste of $200. I'd hate to know what the rest of the marriage has been like with Mr. Drama Queen. I think he's going to be wearing that crown the rest of his life.

"But I did it for love!"

Yeah whatever.

now that is a real mid life crisis when instead of buying a hairpiece or a corvette you go with a staged robbery attempt to impress your lady lol... maybe he should have also rented a superman costume and suspended himself from the ceiling fan with fishing line to make it looking like he was flying in to save her virtue lol..that's classic lol..My My what some guys will do to spark some romance. maybe he should have just sparked the fireplace and bought some champagne and strawberries instead of having fifteen year old's tie her up lol.....he's going to be one lonesome super hero from now on I'd be willing to bet lol..Back to the bat cave alone batman lol..

In all truth though I meant maybe for her she could drink the champagne and i'd pretend with ginger ale cause I gave up drinking a few years back just a personal choice cause I never knew when to quit but I don't seek to take it away from people who can enjoy it responsibly and hey hey thanks for buying the drinks Van all I need now is the fireplace and the strawberries oh yeah and one small thing too the woman lol..lol I guess I'll just be sitting there alone sweating with a bottle of Canada dry and some fresh produce now that's living lol...at least i'll have control over the remote though lol.why is this starting to sound as bad as the robbery attempt lol maybe i should stop writing now..lol thanks Van as always.. :D
