This is Dave Young's Forum.
Can you really bridge the gap between reality and training? Between traditional karate and real world encounters? Absolutely, we will address in this forum why this transition is necessary and critical for survival, and provide suggestions on how to do this correctly. So come in and feel welcomed, but leave your egos at the door!
Now people are dying in these protests... now they're saying they'll forcibly remove anyone from the country of the offending journalists... if we all reacted to minor offenses like this the entire world would be burning... it's insane. The basic description of losers from childhood on is DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS... bullies and crazies grow up to be criminals and people with personality disorders. It's not unlike grade school: when the P.D. crowd shows up in the ER threatening suicide unless they're given what they want... swallowing strange objects to force medical attention (or sticking them elsewhere) or shrieking in agony from adominal pain with no medical etiology, the simple rules are: don't reward their bad behavior with any attention, not even irritation, and keep them away from anything that will let them put on a show or create a scene. Unfortunately mobs and modern weapondry allow these nutjobs to demand attention for the angry confrontation that they claim passes for religion (I'm talking the nutjobs, not people who believe in Islam). Someday, however, the oil will be gone and interest in the center of the muslim world will evaporate.
Here are some other hits from the first results in googling "anti semitic cartoon"
Having a 10th century outlook and acting on that outlook is perfectly normal and expected.
If its STILL the 10th century.
Such behavior is utterly irrational in 2006.
If muslims wish to have their beliefs and practices tolerated, then they should show more respect and tolerence for the beliefs and practices of others.
Burning down bldgs and making death threats is not the way to show the world that islam is the "religion of peace."
Man, those Danes are taking it from all sides!!!!!
Mountie dog attacks man helping police

CBC News
A Yellowknife radio announcer is in an Edmonton hospital after being bitten by the RCMP's controversial new police dog.
According to the RCMP, CJCD radio host Paul McMullan was trying to help apprehend two youth who had fled police on Monday afternoon.
The dog chased the two suspects, and after one of the suspects stopped, the handler called off the dog.
Then, McMullan came running onto the scene. Police say the dog perceived the radio host as a threat to its handler and attacked.
McMullan was flown to Edmonton for treatment of bite wounds.
Lasse, a 5-year-old German shepard, was purchased from a Danish police force and arrived in Yellowknife in the fall.
Since then the dog has been at the centre of controversy.
In December a Yellowknife man says the police dog attacked him, biting his leg and then his arm, after he had surrendered to police. A subsequent investigation by the RCMP handler cleared the dog of any wrong-doing.
The man, Lyle Omilgoituk, has since filed a formal complaint.
Moral of the story... Don't be training "attack dogs" if you aren't a professional. Even the professionals have issues. And it's difficult to blame this dog under the circumstances. It's just damn unfortunate. Call it "friendly fire."
"Islam says it's all right to demonstrate but not to resort to violence. This must stop," said senior cleric Mohammed Usman, a member of the Ulama Council, Afghanistan's top Islamic organization. "We condemn the cartoons but this does not justify violence. These rioters are defaming the name of Islam."
I believe I hear an echo. Finally...
Well stated.
It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.
Jesus and Moses are surely falling over laughing as they tease Muhammed about the irony. Muhammed's all "shut up guys, stop," trying not to crack a smile but finally they all have a big laugh together.
