I wonder if I could talk my daughter into bugging them once she is back on campus there.....the old 'squeaky wheel' philosophy might work.

Bill, et al.

I checked the "Wayback Machine" at http://www.archive.org/web/web.php which has archived billions of web pages.

Unfortunately, the UVA site blocked "crawlers" through a "robots.txt" file and thus was not available for archive by this resource. If and when the site goes back up, the web site administrator should prevent the Robots.txt query exclusion. For more information see the detail explanation at the Wayback Machine web site concerning Robots.txt files.

Yo, anybody heard anything lately?

Don't mean to nag, but I do miss the site.

Is it gone for good?

Chris

We've been able to dig up pieces and parts of it. I may go back to UVa and ask them to search a specific server where we found some of the stuff.

I have someone who has offered to re-type the whole site if we have paper copies.

Keep nagging and checking!

Bill,
I think I have paper copies of most of the web site from when I was dipping my toe into the Uechi waters. I'll dig around and try to find them. I'll let you know ASAP on this thread or via PM.

Thanks, Mike. Do this quickly. Shana is pregnant, and wants something to do while out of circulation.

Bill,
Found it, and I think it's most if not all of the site. I'll get copies made and let you know when it's done.

YES! Please send me the information! I can't wait to wade into this and see what I can come up with!

What little I've seen of the site, it had some great information. I will do my best to resurrect what we can!

Thanks Mike for pulling together what you have. Can't wait to see it! How would you like to forward that? What contact information do you need from me?

Shana,

I have a couple pages from the site that Bill and I talked about snail-mailing to him, but if you will PM your address to me I can send them directly to you. We decides those might be easier to work from than scanned images. I can scan them and e-mail to you as well though if you want.

I'll PM you as soon as I'm done. I think I have the entire site.

Done, PM for you Shana.

I haven't looked at the material in a while and forgot how much good stuff was on the site. It is ironic that the non-Uechi guy has this stuff.

Ironic or not -- I bet more of us are very glad you've got it than will ever say!!

I had most of it printed out as well, but lost some binders during a recent home reno.

Anyway, thanks all -- I'm really looking forward to having access to such a great wealth of Uechi info! 8)

Glad I could be of some help. One of the things that bothers me is a lot of the layout is lost, but I'm going to check a mothballed PC and see if I saved any of the pages.
