If you really think Mass could use the national spotlight...

We handled the spotlight with Teddy's funeral.
Brought a lot of taxpayers money here from other states too.

It would give Edwards and Kerry a chance to reunite the team!! :)

He is best described as a populist, though he is in the Democratic party.

So would Edwards come with the have-pity-on-me, devoted wife or the skank who got him a different kind of reputation?

A.k.a. bimbo eruptions. Willie liked to play a lot.

And so did his owner.

What's amazing to me is how the John Edwards "thing" is still newsworthy. He hasn't held elective office for a few years since he decided to not run for re-election in the Senate. His time has passed. Sex sells, I guess.

There's something cold about cheating on a wife and mother of many who campaigns for you and takes on your critics while living with cancer. She was made out to be special, and John boy decided that fathering a child with a camerawoman was the "thing" to do.

The appearance of impropriety would be putting it kindly. This is the kind of thing you expect from an NBA athlete. It's not the kind of thing you can get away with if you're pro traditional family and anti gay.

Hillary? That's a whole other ball of wax. A lot of people don't particularly like Hillary. And she didn't give her husband a gaggle of kids either. She arguably cost him a term as governor of Arkansas, and possibly some votes in his first presidential campaign (with the baking cookies thing).

It is what it is.

About Edwards, the guy's a creep.

But having Hillary as a wife, on balance, didn't seem to slow Slick Willie a bit - 2 term President and everything!

I must say in a lot of ways life was better after Bill.
I would say the economic collapse was a joint problem which started back with Reagan, and everyone thereafter contributed to. But I'm not an economist.

the fact that gov patrick was allowed to flaunt the commonwealths constitution is appalling albeit not surprising.

Bill wasn't a bad President. Unfortunately the problems associated with his personal habits prevented him from being a great one.

The present economic problem started when GWB & Co. failed to prevent the Democrats from forcing banks to give home loans to people who were unlikely to be able to pay them back, and failing to keep an eye on Fannie May/Mac

Shocking, truly, with Obama and Hillary backing the Constitution-trashing president of Honduras.

Funny, Jon, but a judge said the Patrick had the Constitutional right to declare and emergenct. And funny about the objections now, especially when Romney used the power 14 times without objection.

Check the legislative history of it all Jason, and you'll find your conclusions aren't correct.

Gene, you and I just aren't going to agree when Democrats are involved. I can live with that.
