"[T]he Flying Universe Internet cafe complex was packed
as usual. Students from the adjacent Beijing University
were huddled around more than 500 computer terminals ...
blue-suited police burst into the cafe, quickly clearing it.
Moments later, a cadre of the new 'Internet police' entered
and began checking terminals. ... The police found that three
out of every 10 computers checked in the raid had evidence
of objectionable pictures, visits to outlawed Web sites,
or 'statements that could harm the stability of China.'"
