My sensei told me this quote today during an afternoon discussion on penetrating techniques and following ripping motions... specifically the driving in of a shoken and I mused that if you have so much emphasis on thrusting in - you should have an equal amount on withdrawing the technique, thereby ripping the heart out by the threads... which brought on the quote. (He's a bona-fide Xena fan.) Thought I'd share it here.

Thought we should have a photo of a Real "Xena" as reference. We had this picture of Susan taken last year at the "Medieval Times" theme park. I was hoping Lori would post the picture she had taken!!!

Yea - gotta love Xena!

As for the picture I had taken - Susan looks infinitely better in hers than I do in mine! But if I get brave enough - I might bring it home from the dojo and post it one of these days...
