While I was getting out of bed at camp to dress for my last sanchin on the beach...

Amy Godwin, wife of Richmond dojo practitioner Al "the resident OT" Godwin, gave birth...

early, by Cesarian section, at 5:45 AM on August 11, 2002...

to a healthy, 6 lb. 8.5 oz., 19.5 inch, red-headed...

BOY...

What a wonderful coincidence as my wife also gave birth to our son on Sunday August 11, 2002 at 5:45AM! Making this the perfect excuse not to make it to summer camp this year!
