It’s not the style it’s the person.

Tomorrow my good friend and fellow martial artist Master Mike Snisky will undergo heart surgery. This is the second time for a leaky valve. The first surgery was about 5 years ago.

Master Mike has been a positive influence and role model for thousands of students over the years. Two of them were my son’s. He is the owner of Eastern Defensive Arts (EDA) and has a very impressive bio in TKD. Master Mike opened his dojang to me and provided dojo space for Uechi-Ryu classes.

Please join me in a prayer and/or your best wishes for Master Mike and his family.

I'm happy to report that Mike was released for home yesterday. It's hard to believe that last Wednesday he spent 12 hours in surgery and now he is home.

A little more to the story. The only reason Mike when in for a check-up was because he made a deal with one of his students. If she would face the bulletman in Adrenal stress training he would go in for a check-up. Her husband is a doctor and by observing some of Mike's symtoms was the reason for her concern. Well this little deal saved Mike's life!

Thanks for your prayers and get well wishes for Mike. I'll be sure to share them with him.
