Derderian Arnis Seminar in Richmond March 19

Post by RACastanet »

Hello all: You are all invited to Richmond for the best cross training session available in the land - Raffi Derderian's Combat Arnis, and Rich Castanet's Tactical Handgun training.

Raffi's session will begin at 7:15 PM and end at 10:00 PM. Lots of room. Everyone is welcome. The cost is $25 for adults, and $10 for students or those under 19.

For those wishing to make a day of it, I'll be hosting a small group from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM at a range nearby. You must attend Raffi's session to attend the firearm training. Space is very limited so contact me quickly if interested in the afternoon session. I'll provide a variety of firearms and ammo. Personal weapons are welcome but contact me first about ammo as I only bring common calibers. The range visit cost is $20 for range fees, targets and some ammo. If anyone wants to shoot more than their ammo allotment I'll have some available. This can count towards a Virginia CHP and for additional $$$ I'll issue a proficiency certificate (contact me about that).

Raffi is sponsoring a follow-on session at the University of Virginia on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM.

Still plenty of room for the Arnis session. However, the range trip is now full.

Thanks,
Dana

Yes, it is open to all. Time is 12 Noon to 3pm. I'll check with Beth on the details.

By the way, you and Heather are in my count for the range. Can you meet us at the gym before 11:30 AM Friday the 19th so we can get to the range by 12 noon?

I would like to spend more time there this year.

Rain or shine!

Hello everyone,

If you would like to attend the UVA session with Raffi as well as the one in Richmond, it will be an additional $5 per person. The UVA seminar will be held in Slaughter Gym, Multipurpose Room 2, from 12-3PM. Please let me know if you are planning on coming to this session and if you need directions to the gym. You can reach me at: emp4p@virginia.edu

See you guys there!! :D

Beth et al,

I've got some folks who may be able to come Saturday who can't make it Friday. So I'll definitely need the details.

And Rich - we're in! I think we'll be able to get down there by then. Tell you what - I'll PM you for cell phone specifics. My old cell bit the dust in a haunted forest during Halloween.

I'll be bringing my .380 but I'll have a box of shells for it. And a recently re-discovered spare clip er umm... I mean magazine!
