Sounds great!

Question... From your perspective, does Uechi Ryu groundfighting mean groundfighting needed to round out a Uechi Ryu curriculum, or groundfighting applications of Uechi kata? Or both?

Thanks.

Anti grappling always sound funny (no offence), but to avoid grappling you may just have to grapple.

I like to use different references of arm positioning and hand positioning that is done in kata or in floor exersizes where I can help people make connections of what to do. Example is a cross face techniuqes uses a hand postion in Uechi-Ryu kata but not in that angle or intyhat way. I find that the best way for people to get tech better and faster is to be able to give them a simliar way of doing things either in life or another tech they already know.

Yes I agree that "anti-grappling" sounds funney, but I haven't come up with anything else. Any ideas? I'm always open.

 Nope.

Perhaps, tachi waza?

Let me touch on judo for a second.

Tachi waza is sub-divided into three categories:
te waza(hand techniques)
koshi waza(hip or waist techniques)
ashi waza(foot techniques)

:? What do you think?
