Healing Magnets?

Post by Gilbert MacIntyre »

On the subject of healing magnets, I'm guessing here but, Pantazi Sensei may have some info.

There is a book by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming that address' the subject fairly well,"The Root Of Chinese Qigong".

It states that you might want to look at what hemisphere you are in when you are using the magnets because the magnetic pull of the earth has an effect on the magnetic field of a magnet.

Simply put it would appear the magnet has an impact on the bio-electric field in the body. I feel I am beyond my expertise here, so maybe the book can help or I have a feeling Pantazi Sensei may be able to shed some light on the subject.

Your input is appreciated.

In a previous life (I've had many jobs...) I was a geochemist and even briefly a geologist for North American Exploration. On one three-month stint I measured the strength of the magnetic field every 1000 feet on every road in 4 counties somewhere in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. I used a very sensitive device called a Nuclear Proton Magnetometer. The whole goal was to look for subtle changes in the magnetic field caused by mineral deposits. We would do contour maps of the results, and the geologists would know where to drill.

Trust me...the magnetic flux in the immediate vicinity of virtually all magnets is orders of magnitude stronger than the flux of the magnetic field of the earth. One need not be concerned about either longitude or latitude when applying magnetic therapy. A good way to check this is to look at the behavior of a compass when it gets near a magnet. You will see it totally ignores magnetic north.
