Moods of a Woman

Meant to be humourous!! Image

MOODS OF A WOMAN

An angel of truth and a dream of fiction
A woman is a bundle of contradiction
She's afraid of a wasp, will scream at a mouse
But will tackle her boyfriend alone in the house

She'll take him for better, she'll take him for worse
She'll break open his head and then be his nurse
But when he's well and can get out of bed
She'll pick up the teapot and aim for his head

Beautiful and keenly sighted, yet blind
Crafty and cruel, yet simple and kind
She'll call him a king, then make him a clown
Raise him on a pedestal, then knock him flat down

She'll inspire him to deeds that ennoble man
Or make him her lackey to carry her fan
She'll run away from him and never come back
But if he runs away, then she'll be on his tracks

Sour as vinegar, sweet as a rose
She'll kiss you one minute, then turn up her nose
She'll win you in rage, enchant you in silk
She'll be stronger than brandy, milder than milk
At times she'll be vengeful, merry and sad
She'll hate you like poison, and love you like mad

Ahhh.. Reminds me of that song by Meridith Brooks, "Bitch", or as I like to call it, The Women's National Anthem.

Bitch
Written by M. Brooks, S. Peiken

I hate the world today
You're so good to me
I know but I can't change
Tried to tell you
But you look at me like maybe
I'm an angel underneath
Innocent and sweet
Yesterday I cried
Must have been relieved to see
The softer side
I can understand how you'd be so confused
I don't envy you
I'm a little bit of everything
All rolled into one
Chorus:
I'm a bitch, I'm a lover
I'm a child, I'm a mother
I'm a sinner, I'm a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I'm your hell, I'm your dream
I'm nothing in between
You know you wouldn't want it any other way

So take me as I am
This may mean
You'll have to be a stronger man
Rest assured that
When I start to make you nervous
And I'm going to extremes
Tomorrow I will change
And today won't mean a thing

Chorus

Just when you think, you got me figured out
The season's already changing
I think it's cool, you do what you do
And don't try to save me

Chorus

I'm a bitch, I'm a tease
I'm a goddess on my knees
When you hurt, when you suffer
I'm your angel undercover
I've been numb, I'm revived
Can't say I'm not alive
You know I wouldn't want it any other way

I posted this for two reasons.

The first because I thought it was funny. Image

The second because I think every so often it's good to remind each other that not everyone fits in neat little boxes.

I find it quite amusing at times on this forum when men try to define women. I admire them for trying, but it's like trying to fill a bucket with a hole in the bottom to the top with water or counting the grains of sand in a desert: an impossible task! Image

Let's face it, Mary. Most men will not reveal their inner thoughts.

An experienced man will take his singular mood and learn how to successfully weave it through the many moods of a woman through time. But until then he continually risks getting his head chopped off, and often does. Women who do not appreciate or understand man's significant singular mood often dry up and whither on the vine. The interlude between the sexes is a long treacherous journey which most never complete, and fewer appreciate or even partially understand. Many slip and fall, and if there is not an extended arm, they tumble to their death. Men and women are important to each other, but belittlement causes destruction.

Mary, good post.

Mary,

Truthfully, I stay away from posts like these though I know you posting it for fun. Some take it seriously.

I've seen many kinds, male and female. I stay away from generalization. It doesn't help in dealing with the individual -- which we each are.

David, in truth, I stay away from these types of posts as well Image It was posted in fun. And I agree with your comments - I personally dislike being labelled and put in a box. Image

Aw c'mon you guys! How are we ever expected to learn anything if we don't communicate with each other? Image Allen I did really like your previous post on how men and women interact with each other. Good on you for not playing safe and stepping outside the box! Image

In college, Mary, Expository writing also meant reading others writings 5, 6, maybe a dozen times to get new meanings from a passage. So I read your post a half-dozen times or so and got different meanings from it each time, except for one underlying one, and that is women are complicated and men are simple and straightforward. You may have meant it to be funny, and the first time I read it I LOL. But I read it again and again. and found and held onto a meaning which sailed right past the words.

I shouldn't have taken what you wrote so serious and analyze it, but instead was going to be funny-assed and write something in good humor about a snake on a vine, but some of the lines lingered as I said to myself "Oh so true."

BTW, waddaya mean about astepping out of little boxes? You sure penned Man into one and only one. Ahem! Give us a dudes break. Some of us must have more than one good trait, don'tcha think?

Allen, I think my original post has many meanings too. That's another reason why I posted it. Of course men have many other attributes worthy of mentioning. The list is so substantive I can't even begin to list it here! Image But I guess if any other women had posted on this they would have looked at the woman part and said "Yes that's me to a certain degree" but not all of me....there is more there too or that some things are not applicable to the individual woman at all. No matter the size, a box is still a box. Image
