Toys for Camp Use

Hello Panther. A question for you:
In firearms disarm class I use a 'soft air' gun which fires a 6mm plastic pellet so you know if you were successful in the disarm. The weapons are closely matched to their real bretheren except for an orange plastic tip on the barrel. I know they are illegal in NJ, NYC, Canada etc. and would not bring one of the realistic models to camp.

Recently I acquired one that is a gov't model pattern in clear plastic. It is obviously not a real handgun but does fire the 6mm pellet. How would Massachusetts react to that? Is it a firearm up there? If there is any doubt I'll leave it at home.

Thanks, Rich

IANAL (and I don't even play one on the radio Image ), but... Obviously clear plastic replica. You are an instructor in the martial arts. It is used as part of that planned instruction. No problem. (No it isn't a "firearm" here.) Regardless, I wouldn't walk into the local store while doing a "mexican carry" with it. Image And I definitely wouldn't be "brandishing" it about outside of training... ifyouknowhatimean.
