As opposed to the high-brow intellectualism displayed by the Obama supporters who wore t-shirts proclaiming that "Sarah Palin Is A C*nt," right?

Christianity appears to be growing in America every year. This should make every American very, very, very, afraid.

Meta, according to the U.S. Census, the percentage of Americans self-identifying as Christian dropped 9% between 1990 and 2001, from 86% to 77%. Check out U.S. Census Bureau ...

You mean like at the
2004 Democratic National Convention ?

One of the most controversial "counter-terrorism" measures was the declaration of a designated free speech zone for protesters , limiting where and when protesters could exercise their first amendment rights.

Re: From John Kerry today

[Republicans] don't care about putting America on a genuine path to energy independence. If they did, they'd support efforts to increase energy conservation and to create clean, renewable sources of energy that no terrorist can sabotage and no foreign government can seize.

...the Republican party tries to create an illusion of inclusion

Translation: Democratic minority leadership is genuine; Republican minority leadership is a sham.

Give me a break.

As Bill pointed out, this is a no-win for Bush. If he appoints a white male as Secretary of State, his opponents ...

Justin, please do not take the following as a personal attack on you...this is a general rant.

I hear the idle threat every election year..."If so-and-so wins, I'm moving to [choose one: Canada, Britain, Denmark, etc]." And it infuriates me every time. Dana, your response to it was much more ...

One last thing...

ESPN's SportsCenter just showed the "Top 10" moments from the ALCS...and all 10 were Sox moments. I might stay up all night watching ESPN. :)

A couple more things:

-When the last out was made, Joe Buck's tone & inflection were like he was asking his coworkers if they wanted to go for coffee. FOX clearly wanted the Yankees to win. Why? The underdog is such a more compelling story. Not to mention the fact that NO ONE outside the 212 area ...

The Red Sox led 2-0 before the Yankees even batted when Ortiz (who else?) slammed a two-run homer to right off starter Kevin Brown, giving him three for the series and 11 RBI. They led 6-0 when Johnny Damon, who struggled so much the first six games, hit a grand slam off reliever Javier Vazquez ...

Is anything more gratifying than hearing Sox fans in Yankee Stadium chanting a sarcastic "Who's Your Daddy" to New York after an historic, Game 7 win for the Sox?

There's never been a better time to be a Sox fan.

Bill

I think you may have misunderstood my post--it was meant as a dig at the Yankees and their fans. I am a transplanted Bostonian and longtime Sox fan.

Also, I always enjoy the irony when those on the left make the obligatory Bush/Hitler references, given that Hitler was the head of the ...

Red Sox

Don't know if anyone here reads columnist Bill Simmons on ESPN.com, but a reader of his once wrote in and said:

"Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for the house in blackjack."
