I didn't bring up McCain. I find that he himself has been much more respectable than his campaign staff, conservative shillers, or many of his supporters. He seems like an upfront good guy.

BEHOLD!! McCain's decency.

More McCain being an awesome guy.

But millions in America still think Obama is a "secret Muslim" because of guys like Rush and Hannity. Oh, and a "secret black seperatist". Oh, and a "secret communist".

Oh, and a "secret Nazi".

Such vicious attacks make a good man look bad. McCain should not be attributed to such blatant lying.

On the "keep your faith in humanity" side of things, here's video of christian and muslem McCain supporters coming together to tell some bigotted nutburger to STFU:

McCain isn't what his opponents say he is. Im happy to see christian and muslim McCain supporters keeping it real. The news doesn't zero in on McCain supporters like Bill or Jason or anyone rational, they focus ont he redshirted nutburger.

AAA

Yeah, unless one of the more fanaticial of the fanatics decides to force the issue---has nothing really to do with Obama.......man is not a Muslim.....and I doubt it would matter much to me if he were.

Just mentioning it.......more as means of illustrating just how far round the bend some of these guy really are than anything else.

Gotta tell you, listening to some of the stuff my buddies from overseas tell me about some of the things that go on in their former countries........why they left said countries in the first place.......honestly scares me a bit.
Forget #6, you are now serving nonsense.

I know people who have been all over as well.

We should be happy we live a a free and democratic society.

There is a reason my parents moved to canada and not south America or stayed in the east.

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

"On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Umm... Socialism and facism are one and the same.
NAZI - An abbreviation of the term for the National Socialist political party , a political party headed by Adolf Hitler from 1921 to 1945
Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism (including collectivism and populism based on nationalist values); Third Position (including class collaboration, corporatism, economic planning, mixed economy, national socialism, national syndicalism, protectionism,); totalitarianism (including dictatorship, indoctrination, major social interventionism, and statism); and militarism.[27][28] Fascism opposes communism, liberalism and conservatism.[29][20][23][30][31][32][33][34]

Fascism requires a dictator. Socialism is the complete opposite of a dictatorship. I could definitely see an argument for calling Communism the same as Fascism. Regardless, I don't like any of the above and voted third party. :)

Doesn't that just say that socialism is a component of fascism in the same way that uranium is a component of a nuclear bomb. I'm not defending socialism here, but it's not really "the same thing as" fascism. You can theoretically have a socialist democracy, for example, you just can't have a fascist free market. In the real world socialism isn't really an either or proposition. There are some socialist programs in the USA, more in some countries and fewer in others.

Definitions courtesy dicitonary.com:
so·cial·ism
1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

fas·cism
2. (sometimes initial capital letter) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

Jutin

In the Venn Diagram, they overlap significantly. Just look at my quotes above. The former comes from Answers.com. The latter from Wiki. And I knew beforehand that the link would be easy to make. And for what it's worth, your assertions aren't supported by readily-available definitions online. (That is especially true for TSDguy's claims.)

The point was made because the original party tried to equate facism to something else. Facism - particularly the NAZI brand - is for all practical purposes socialism. (Nazi Party, officially: National Socialist German Workers' Party)
